Are pet-friendly bed bug treatments safe for fish?

Posted August 28th, 2011 by admin

I have a 5 gallon fish tank, but have most unfortunately discovered bedbugs in my home. :O I’m wondering if a "pet-friendly" commercial pest control spray would harm the aquarium inhabitants? I have a feeling that it most definately would, but would like to find out for sure. After all, most businesses tend to tell you what they think you want to hear in order to make a sale, which is why I’m double checking. I tried to find information on the web, but didn’t find anything conclusive…

You wanna take the Take the fish outside During the treatment and bring it back after you have ventilated and cleaned the house.
The insecticide you use make sure it know to kill bedbugs . Take the bed ,frame and other furniture and directly apply the insecticide.
Clean wash clothes and house requalarly . Avoid using booms since you have a take look for a liquid spray

Why would the treatment be near the fish? Bring the 5 gallon outside while their doing the treatments.

You definitly should not have them near any sort of chemicals not meant for fish.
