So please no rude answers….my dog was bred July 17th and when i put her outside to go potty (She is in a fully fenced in yard) she went in the dog house she NEVER goes in the dog house…She is tossing and turning in there and scratching at the dog bed i put in there for her…I think she is going into labor so I put her inside and put her in her whelping box…So she got up and she is scratching at the door and wanted back out and she went in the dog house again…I would love the dog house inside but it is to big to fit in the door lol (I had it made for 4 large dogs…My yard is separated from the other dogs so she is in a 25×10 dog run…Is it ok if she gives birth outside??? I mean she wants to be out i will sit out there until she has them its only 2 pm…THANKS
Its about 70 degrees out where i am…i would be out with her the whole process maybe if she has one outside i can bring it inside in her whelping box and she will stay there!
Hmmm good idea Apricot Lover I actually have one for my chiuahua sleeps in at night that would work i will try that because she will not jump things and im sure she will stay in it!
SHE HAD ONE PUPPY OUTSIDE AND WE MOVED HER INTO HER WHELPING BOX AND SHE IS STAYING SHE HAS GIVEN BIRTH TO TWO MORE AND STILL MORE ON THE WAY…..SHE IS NOW INSIDE

The answer is a definite NO!
Kristin gave you some very good reasons and here are a few more.
New born pups can’t regulate their body Temperature and 70 degrees is not warm enough for them to be active enough for them to nurse properly. Their area needs to be well above 70 degrees. Also the whelping can take a long time. The pups born first will get very cold waiting for the remainder to be born. The outside poses too many hazards for new Born’s! Like someone already mentioned other animals can and will invade the dog house. Pups can be lost to them.
Plus the mear fact that fleas can be already present in the dog house and they are deadly to new Born’s.
Keep mom inside and only let her out on a leash when you take her.
This is when you need to be the one who tells her where to have her pups not the other way around.
She needs to be watched in case a problem while whelping comes up and the new borns need to be watched also.
Play it very safe and keep all under your roof ok.
