Yes, saying NO is enough. Say NO. And then stick to it. Don’t pay attention to the whining, wheedling, and crying.

If these people need money, they are adults and can find ways to earn money on their own.

Stop putting money into that joint account ASAP. Put any future personal savings into your OWN account that no one else can access.

It is NOT your job to take care of your deadbeat family.

The only way to make them stop is to stop enabling them.

Seems like your grandfather is the only one with any sense in your family. Listen to him and learn to say `no` to the others. If your father can`t pay the vet`s bill, then he can`t afford to have a dog.

Just politely tell them no and don’t give them money.

Look for somewhere to move as soon as possible tell your family that you need the money for your new house and don’t have enough to give out. Tell your dad that since he took the dog he should pay for it not you.

    Hope this helped :)

move out so you wont be around for them to ask you for money

See if you can find a cheap apartment, and move in with a friend! That’s your only escape! And once you do, start your own bank and savings account in which your own money is put into. That way no one can dip into it. As for your parents, that’s a sh*tty thing to do. They should never be asking YOU for money. And as for your sister, it’s probably her fault so I would not give money to her. Just leave and keep in touch with you grandfather, at least he seems to know right from wrong!

  7. Why do I bother?

Get your own apartment ASAP. If they ask for money, tell them that you spent it all on the move. If they ask you for money in the future, unless it is a dire emergency (like someone is going to die if they don’t get the money) say that you’re broke.

You need to pay rent until you move. You save your extra money, not the money needed to live day to day.

You should have skipped the dog surgery, you do not put animals ahead of people. The dog will not live that long anyway, average life is about 12 years.

Just say no to everyone. You NEED to get the hell out of there and that will never happen if you leep bleeding money.

You may be best off just packing uop and going NOW.
