    In there own bed!
If you let a dog sleep in your bed, the dog will automatically become pack leader. (too them anyway) and will not listen to you.

Most dogs of all breeds like to sleep on the bed with their people. Short haired and thin coated dogs especially so, for warmth. Your dog doesn’t have to sleep on the bed with you but he will be much happier sleeping in the same room as you than banished to the living room. Just as long as he has a comfortable bed in your room, he will be happy. My dog snuggles right next to me at night. A clean, flea-free dog won’t stink up your bedroom or bed.

well boxers are very affectionate and when they r first puppies they may want to sleep in ur bed, but if u r REALLY big on that whole "my room not ur’s" then i guess u could train them to sleep in the living room but only if u live in an apartment or ur bedroom is on the same floor… they don’t just want to be near u, they want to protect u! these dogs are very affectionate so they will do anything to protect u! so please don’t leave ur little boxer buddy at a far distance! i hav grown up with boxers and love them all!!! i hav had white and brindle and they are both sooo affectionate!!! the white one seemed to be more protective then affectionate. and it is NOT true that the white ones r duds or mistakes! they are boxers and thats all!!!!

My dog isn’t a boxer (i have a lab mix), but she will not sleep anywhere but her kennel (wire crate). We tried to let her sleep on the bedroom floor but she refused. She goes in her kennel every night, either by herself or if I tell her its "bedtime". I think its a familiar thing since she’s done it since we’ve had her because she was a puppy.
I don’t like having a dog in the bed cuz of hair and smell. I’ve had smaller dogs that slept on the couch.
