Boil is due to bacterial infection. It starts as firm, painful, reddish swelling, which enlarges and develops central pointing. Then pus forms at the central point through which
emerges a hair. After a few days, it softens in the centre and bursts discharging pus etc.Pain subsides after boil bursts.
Tick bite –tick attaches to the skin by anchoring its mouthparts in it, and sucks blood from the blood vessels. In a few hours an urticarial weal appears at the site of puncture
with itching and pain and lasts for several days. During this time
one can suffer from fever, chills, headache. vomiting etc.It is the tick itself which attracts the patients attention.

Iam not sure, but you need to go to a doc asap! Boils and tic bites are dangerous. I’ve had both. If its big, hot, and very sore I would say a boil, but I wouldn’t mess around go as fast as you can! Good Luck
