How to remove dog urine from bed sheets?

Posted September 3rd, 2010 by admin

Last night my dog peed on the bed and I immediately took the sheets off the bed and washed. I used a 1/2 cup borax and some baking soda– as well as a color safe bleach to clean them.

My question is do you think I removed the smell? To my nose, I don’t detect anything, but wasn’t sure if the dog would be able to smell and maybe pee there again in the future.

Luckily I had a matress pad on the bed, which I washed the same way to prevent the matress from getting ruined.

    throw them away

if you cant buy new sheets right now, you can buy cheap ones temporarily until you can replace the nice ones

If your dog has never peed on the bed before, you should be trying to figure out why that happened and not how to get rid of the smell.
