u can see it on your dog, ticks tends to balk up from sucking to much blood and it wont really be hard to find them also you can feel them when petting your pet. if you pet has tick go to your vet and talk to him or her and see whats suitable for you Shih Tzu or u can just buy front line and ill do its job

You’ll know becuae they swell up with blood. You should be able to feel them.

if your petting the dog you should be able to feel them. This early in the year is kinda unlikely. but you never know. If the ticks are under the skin and really big you might wanna take it to the vet.

If you find little black bugs stuck to his skin, most likely he has ticks. Take him to the vet if you are not sure.

They are little black or brown bugs smaller than your pinky finger nail but they get bigger as they suck the dog’s blood. They can also fall off and get on you so beware. You should get your dog the drops that go on the back of their neck and give him regular baths so the ticks dont get on you also. If you live in the country dogs get them really easily.
