crate train. It’s really effective and it’s NOT inhumane. Research it. I crate trained my dogs and their fully potty trained.

I would crate train him. It worked really well for my mini dachshund.

Crate training will help you. It is good that he poo’s outside. Put newspaper by the back door & try getting him to use that then move on as he gets a little older.

Here is how I broke my Dalmatian puppy from going in the house. I would take him out every hour to every hour and half, I would make sure that he went both pee and poop outside when I took him. I would take him out about 20 minutes after he ate. When I would go to the door I would say "potty" or whatever word you choose to use then I would take his paws and scratch on the door and say the word again then take him out and straight back in (remember to only use this word for when you are taking him out to use the bathroom) and if you take him out to play pick another word so that he knows when you say potty he knows why he is going out. It took me about 4 weeks to get him used to this and now when he has to go out he will go to the door and sit, whine and if you don’t pay attention to him he will jump and bite the door knob or repeatedly scratch at the door, if that don’t work he will come to you bark then run to the door. You also have to remember that he is just like a kid he will have accidents when he does just say the word then take him out. Hope this helps you out

Definitely agree that crate training is the answer. The dog won’t pee where he sleeps so the crate must be just big enough for him to be comfortable but no room for him to walk around. Then praise him like crazy when he pees outside…even bring treats if needed. He will learn, just sounds like he is an excited little guy

The first step is taking advantage of the dog’s den instinct. A crate, when properly introduced as a happy and rewarding place, provides your pet a secure haven of its very own. It’s invaluable for housebreaking because most dogs will not soil their sleeping quarters.

I had to do crate training. Sometimes, that’s all you can do.

Put him in a crate overnight. It may sound cruel but it works efficiently. Make sure you place the crate inside the house, too.
He won’t pee in the crate because it’s too small, and because it’s in the house he won’t pee unless it’s outside.

    Good luck :]

get some newspaper dip it in his wee then put it where you want him to go he will smell it and think this is where i must of peed last time. if he does it on the floor dont shout just say no in a calm voice and put him on the paper DO NOT RUB HIS NOSE IN IT as he doesnt no he is doing wrong just keep putting him on the paper and make sure he smells the wee on the paper and lots of praise when he has done and quite voice when he is doing it
    hope this helped
