Is my dog seeing strange things?

Posted July 31st, 2009 by admin

I don’t understand what is going on, but as i lay down on my bed with my dog Snuggles in my bedroom. I pet him and notice him staring around the room. He is looking straight at something, almost as if someone else is in the room with us. But nobody else is. He is opening his mouth to catch something with his teeth. At, first i thought maybe they’re was a fly roaming around and my dog tryed to catch it. But i didn’t see any flys or any bugs.
Im kind of getting freaked out, wondering if my dog can see things that i cant?
Now, my dog is very sick and hes kind of old and might pass away soon…
I know this is stupid to believe but do you think he sees something like ghost?
Omg its freaking me out! my dog is looking around the room terrified barking at something. But theres nothing there?
Could he see things? or is he just imagining stuff?
What do you think ?
Omg its scaring me, i feel like there are ghost in my room as my dog barks around the room at something that i cant seee :(
What is it?
What is going on? :(

i think all animals can see things that we cant. im not sayin there’s ghosts, but i mean some animals have better vision than we do so they see more.

like the other guy said…he’s probably seeing dust mites.

p.s. i named my first dog Snuggles :)
i loved her. she was a beautiful black cockerspaniel.

He is getting old. If you don’t see anything then the dog is either irritated or hallucinating.

I think that they probably can sense things that we can’t.

he has a terrible, fatal disease called seeingthingaphobia.
Best deal is to put him 2 sleep

Calm down, there’s no such thing as ghosts. And if there were they would probably be harmless.

Dogs have much more sensitive vision than people and it is quite possible that he is looking at dust mites, floating in the air. This would also explain the biting.

Derz NO SUCH THINGS as "ghosts",honeypie!!!
Go ask your mommy! See? Aw bedder now?

There IS a neurological problem w/dogs…a form of SEIZURE activity.

I think your dog is just having hallucinations. My dog does the same thing, but what i found out she’s looking at is a bug that’s flying around the room. I don’t really believe in ghosts, so obviously i’m going to tell you that he can’t see a ghost. If your bedroom has a window and seems to be looking out and barking out the window, then he’s just barking at something outside. Old dogs have the tendency to have delusions but that’s when they get dangerous. Sometimes dogs with hallucinations will think that you’re something you’re not and wind up biting you. I’d be careful.

i do believe in paranormal stuff but if your dog just started do this and hes realy old, she might have a blind spot and doesn’t know what it is, id go have him checked out by the vet… if every checks out okay and you really do think you have a ghost you could go to a nearest church and find a priest who will bless your house for you, a catholic church might the best place to look for a priest. if you want to make sure you have ghosts .. keep a camera close and when your dogs barking start taking pics or a video all around your room and see what you get
