My cat has blood in her urine?

Posted August 28th, 2010 by admin

My cat is a female, about 1 year old. She is eating
Well as always, playing like normal but I caught her peeing in one of my other cats bed and there was blood in her urine. What could it be? My guess was maybe cystitis? I’m planning to take her to the vet tomorrow after work if I get off in time but I only have about til payday Friday. Any suggestions?

It may just be a urinary tract infection that requires antibiotics…

Take her to the vet. She could have a kidney stone. My old cat did. She got surgeory. I don’t remeber the cost of the whole thing. I’m sure though they won’t put her in surgeory until friday or after. If not then ask if you could have some sort of payment plan. Or you could get teh vets to fix your kitty and run away to mexico. LOl just kidding don’t do that.

I really don’t know whats wrong with your cat But my recommendation is to take her to the Vit as soon as possible.

It sounds like a urinary tract infection, my cat had one. It was inexpensive to get the meds for.

it is possible that she was having her cat period, she is old enough, if it is it should last 2-4 weeks, and can happen 2-4 times a year. and the fact that she was peeing outside a litter box show that she is spraying, so she probably is spayed, if it is her period even when its done she might still spray, so get her spayed and that can stop, either way its better to be safe than sorry when it comes to seeing blood coming out of a cat
