when i let him out of the cage he goes under a bed for a few seconds,sometimes up to 10 min, and other times none at all

Rabbits love their lairs and that is a close proximity. Animals do what is comfortable to them. Maybe he or she is mentally gearing up for the everyone wants to touch me that is coming?

Not surprising - as a prey animal many rabbits don’t like to be out in the open.
Just watch to be sure that he isn’t chewing on your box spring. It’s been known to happen.
