I just read an article on pet insurance that it just wasn’t worth it. Today it costs anywhere from $200 to $300 to get annual vaccines and exams plus heartworm treatment. Those items usually aren’t covered by insurance. Pets are normally pretty healthy unless they’re in an accident of some sort. When they start getting sick it’s usually toward the end of theyir normal life span. Anything else and the insurance company will come up and say it’s a preexisting condition. The best thing to do since you know it’s going to cost so much a year for normal expenses is to save it for that purpose rather than pay premiums that end up being twice as much.
