My husband is planning on building our dog a dog house for outside. We have great dane mix puppy only about 5 months old, he’s far from being full grown so i’m not sure what his full grown measurements will be. How big should an average great danes dog house be? we’ve looked at a [...]

HELP! I have two dwarf rabbits who live in an XL dog crate. I’m having a difficult time finding a way to provide them water. All the bottles on the market are either cheap and leak or don’t fit onto a dog crate. Right now I’m using a LIXIT water bottle, (if familiar with the [...]

I’m getting a Great Dane puppy in September and I’m looking for an outstanding (but affordable) pet insurance policy for him to cover any unexpected emergencies/surgeries/etc. I’ve already decided on a veterinarian and I don’t want to take him to Petsmart’s Banfield, as some friends have suggested to me, so please don’t respond with that! [...]

We have a five month old male and he is outgrowing the large crate so we are moving towards the great dane size crate. Because we have not had a puppy in 14 years, I do not remember when we started the transition from crate to bed. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I am in Virginia, and am looking fort the cheapest route to go in fencing in a yard for a toy poodle and great dane. It will be for short periods that the dogs will be out there, for using the bathroom and playing, so it doesnt have to contain them all day during constant [...]

Sorry this is long, please don’t read it if it’s too long for you and especially don’t complain about it being long unless you are answering my question, but here goes! I like dogs, I do, I have a cocker spaniel/dachshund mix that I love to death, she’s on the smaller side (about 30lbs) and [...]

I have a Great dane who stays in the house ,I baked a ham today and went to the bed room and she got it off the stove and ate part of it. After beating her tail what could be her punishment, feed the rest to my boston terrier and pomeranian and dont let her have [...]

I love my pets!! I have 1 pomeranian, Jessie, who’s the most adorable! And I have 1 SheepDog mix, Nemo, such a sweetie! And 1 St Bernard w/ Great Dane mix, Dino (aka; Tiny) and he’s adorable..& a great "watchdog" (wouldn’t hurt a flea – but would sure scare one to death! lol) and I [...]

OK, yesterday I went out for about 7 hours…and when I got home, I was totally wiped out. It was around 10:30, and I still had to cook Rory, my beloved Great Dane’s ground beef. He usually wolfs it down, and then I take him for a long walk. So…I got home, exhausted, and he [...]

Ok, i took in this stray a year or two ago (i tried to find her owners but to no avail….Obviously) She was sitting on a sofa when i was eating dinner and she fell off it, she hobbled around like she had no front legs because she had them tucked in under herself. She [...]

I am looking in to getting pet insurance for my great dane. He is only 6 months old. I was wondering what information anyone has with insurance. I would like to be prepared for anything that could happen to my pup. I was looking into VPI, just cause that is one of the main ones, [...]

So last week I went out and bought sewing machine. Its not the best out there… I got a cheap one until I knew what I was doing. I didn’t want to break it or something. Anyways I was wanting any advise on how to get started, and also how to read patterns… how much [...]

Our Great Dane just chewed up her 4th dog bed and it was supposed to be a "toughchew" bed we bought from Orvis. It only took three days for her to chew through this one. Thankfully we are receiving a refund since it was guaranteed. We do have to crate her during the day into [...]

I live in a one bedroom flat, which although is one bedroom is fairly big and I have room enough for a dog to have its own bed etc in the lounge but it would be quiet for him/her. Im not aiming for a great dane or anything, a small scottie or something of that [...]

Yes it’s bad and you shouldn’t but there’s no point owning a dog if it’s constantly dicipline and you can’t enjoy it. I have a small dog and a queen sized bed so it’s still very comfortable. Imagine having a great dane insisting on joining you :]
