I have a wonderful JRT named Chance, whom is loved by everyone he comes in contact with. He is well temepered and very sweet natured. My sister is seeking a puppy from Chances’ blood-line. We’ve waited for several years now (Chance is 2, almost 3) and we finally got a call about a one year [...]

I’m looking for breeds that are capable of guarding and protecting chickens, sheep and horses if raised with them from puppyhood. I’d raise the pup as I would raise any other livestock guardian dog – with their herd/flock from day 1. I’m looking for breeds suited toward this lifestyle and breeds that are capable of [...]

First I have a question about crate training. I have closed off an area in my house already for the dog to go potty, eat, play, and sleep. So far my 3 month old pomchi pup has been doing really good with the litter box, in this closed area. My pup can go to the bathroom on [...]

While poking around looking at the websites of breeders (also known as torturing myself because I can’t have another dog right now) I found this: PUPPY WARRANTY AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE (First of all, there are other things in this contract that I know are wrong, and I would never consider buying from [...]

I have to travel a lot with my job right now and my 9 mo old pup is lapsing as far housebreaking goes. He will not use the bathroom downstairs. Ge either does it outside or UPSTAIRS which is the problem. He could be outside one minute and two minutes later ge sneaks upstairs and [...]

I know hip dysplasia is common among retrievers. I have a 3 month old female American yellow lab, and am trying to prevent the problem from developing, if she wasn’t already born with it in her genes. I know that it is too young to tell, and I will get her X-rayed at 6 months. [...]

My neighbor’s kids like to tease my dogs. They throw rocks, apples, yell, scream, etc. Through the years I have asked the parents to speak to the kids and of course, their little darlings would never do such a thing. My German Shepard hated these kids because of this. He recently passed away. While debating [...]

I know alot of people will be judge-mental straight away and say "why did you get a dog if you can’t afford it?". So to them let me explain….. Yes I could afford it but was not prepared for all the problems I was to encounter I bought my German Shepherd 18 months ago, I [...]

I have a wonderful, hyper, lap dog. Or should I say had. I have a white pekingese that i adopted from a friend of a friend about 2 years ago. She is 6 years old. About 4-6 weeks ago she went into heat. This was the first time I noticed her in heat. Well the [...]

Hi, I am having trouble getting over the death of my pets. Would love to hear other peoples views as I am driving myself crazy. We have had two female cocker spaniels for 13 years and they were fine. When they were younger they would have little fights over the roast chicken every now and [...]

I’ve heard people say things like, "I bought my dog from a reputable breeder, but he is not show quality. The breeder kept the show quality pups that were eventually going to be used for breeding." At such a young age, how is it possible for breeders to tell which pups will develop faults and [...]
