I’m going to be dog-sitting a Labradoodle (Labrador / Poodle cross) for 2 weeks, what questions should I ask the owner when they come over for the first time?

  1. Bloodhounds All the Way!

Does this dog have an aggressive background (biting, nipping at people, etc.)
    What is his potty schedule?
Does he sleep in a bed or crate?
    Is he house trained?
Does he do well with other dogs? (or any other animals you might have)
I would also ask for a record of shots.
Is he food aggressive, toy aggressive, small animal aggressive?
Does he walk well on a leash?
Are there any medications I need to give him? If so, what time?
Does he require grooming or brushing every day?

What do they like to play with, what do they eat, when should they be fed, where they walk the dog, what the dog is allowed to do or isn’t allowed to do, and most importantly:

    Vet’s Emergency Contact Number
    Their Emergency Contact Number

I know that sounds strange, but it’s better to be safe then sorry.

    Feeding schedule (when, how much)
    Treats? (what kind, how much)
    Allergies?
    Potty schedule? (housetrained?)
    Exercise schedule?
Bad habits / things to keep out of reach (chews paper, eats socks, countersurfs, doesn’t like men, chases cats, etc.)
    Favorite toy/game
Where it sleeps at home (in their bedroom, on their bed, etc.)
    Name/number of vet
number to reach them in case of emergency
